Digital Training Development Specialist

Markham, ON

Kubota Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a full time Digital Training Development Specialist to join its team in Markham, Ontario.
 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, organize, prepare, and upgrade training materials, courses and methods for delivery on digital systems
  • Benchmark, research, prepare and implement improved and upgraded remote/digital training methods
  • Determine training requirements, taking input from Service and Engineering, Marketing personnel and Kubota Dealers and Distributors
  • Prepare and publish Online Training Courses for KCL Dealers, KCL Personnel via Kubota University Learning Management System(LMS)
  • Participate in the definition of course content and delivery methods required for Training courses
  • Gather existing course material from our head office, other Sales companies or external providers, including classroom presentation materials and hardware for demonstration and workshop use
  • Administer and, manage daily operation and functions of the Kubota University LMS
  • Set-up, organize and provide training courses for KCL Personnel and KCL Dealer Training

Requirements:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline (Instructional design, Learning Design and Technology(LDT) or similar
  • Background with engines, agriculture, construction, and turf equipment. In-depth Technical knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, transmissions and engines would be an asset
  • Experience and understanding of necessary repair and maintenance procedures, familiarity with repair and overhaul workshops and service information, workshop manuals and procedures would be an asset
  • Experienced as a trainer and /or training developer, and administration of a LMS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to make decisions and support ideas with conviction
  • Negotiation skills
  • Able to speak and present publicly
  • Bilingual English-French preferred
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Strong computer skills and fluency – Power point, Excel, On-line fluency
