2015 – 2025: Investment in the Canadian market ensures Kubota equipment stands the test of time
Through our 50 years in Canada, Kubota’s legacy has been one of unwavering commitment to the communities in which we operate.
Our customers see this commitment daily when they visit any one of our nearly 150 locally owned and operated dealerships nationwide, and it was certainly on display in 2022 when we invested over $80 million in a new, state-of-the-art corporate office and 500,000 square foot warehouse in Pickering, Ontario.
Because we pride ourselves on meeting the unique needs of Canadians, we also made an enormous investment in 2013 when we launched the first-ever heavy equipment cold weather testing facility in Timmins, Ontario.
As temperatures in the area often dip below 40°C, the facility puts every piece of Kubota equipment through intense trials such as the Cab Warm-Up Test, Defrost Test and Engine Cold Start Test, to ensure they not only hold up, but thrive in the harsh weather conditions Canadians are accustomed to.
All machines and implements are tested rigorously in real-world scenarios, with a priority on reliability, durability, performance and ease of use. With new regulations on exhaust gas reductions and exciting new product features and technology to put through its paces, we’ve even expanded our cold weather testing field site in recent years to accommodate multiple test teams at a time.
While it’s a lot of work, meeting the needs of Canadians is well worth it. Today, our cold weather testing facility is now the global gold standard for Kubota, ensuring day-to-day reliability and that our machinery consistently lives up to real-life conditions.
As we look towards the next half-century in Canada, we’ll continue to prioritize quality and excellence every day, leveraging our investments in the Canadian market to meet the needs of our customers across the country.
