Kubota Announces Sponsorship of Mixed Doubles Curling Team Gushue/Einarson

Press Release

Markham, Ontario (January 18, 2021) – Kubota Canada Ltd., of Markham, ON is very pleased to announce their primary sponsorship of the newly formed mixed doubles curling team of Brad Gushue and Kerri Einarson. This partnership expands Kubota’s presence in Canadian curling as Kubota is also the primary the 2020 Tim Horton’s Brier held last year in Kingston, ON. Kerri Einarson from Gimli, MB, is the current Canadian women’s curling champion, her team having won the 2020 Scottie’s Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, SK last year.

“What a dynamic duo these two will be in mixed doubles!” said Rob Allison, Director for Brand at Kubota Canada Ltd. “I mean two national champions competing together side by side with the hopes of representing their country in the 2022 Olympics. It doesn’t get much better than that for our chances of Olympic gold and we’re very proud to be able to help Brad and Kerri on this journey!” Allison continued.

"I’ve been dreaming about the Olympics since I was a little girl” said Kerri. “To represent Canada and wear the maple leaf at the Olympics would be an absolute honour. Mixed Doubles is a very different game, and to have the chance to compete with Brad for that possibility is beyond exciting!”

Brad adds, “Very excited to have the opportunity to compete in Mixed Doubles with Kerri. She is one of the best players in the game. We are thrilled that Kubota has decided to partner with us as we work towards representing Canada at the 2022 Olympics”
