Regional Sales Manager
Kubota Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a full time Regional Sales Manager to join its team in the Atlantic Canada area. In this role the candidate will be responsible for managing the Kubota Canada / Dealer relationships within a defined geographic region to grow sales volume and market share while strengthening company profitability and increasing product line representation through the dealer network.
Responsibilities:
- Manage dealer relationship to promote sales growth through dealer visits, supplemental reports, and other modes of communication
- Deliver sales, systems, and product training to appropriate dealer staff
- Work closely with assigned Product Support Manager (PSM) and Field Product Specialist (FPS) to ensure effective communication and alignment between all field-based personnel
- Manage region inventories through NTO to ensure adequate availability and stocking of product
- Develop regional marketing plans to outline activities and top priorities in your assigned area of responsibility
- Engage with dealership ownership and/or senior management to establish annual marketing strategies and an effective marketing CO-OP plan, ensuring a structured and accountable approach to local marketing efforts.
- Ensure dealer engagement in national marketing programs
- Corporate support and insight through participation in sales and marketing events and reporting
- Improve dealer and distribution network to achieve short-, mid-, and long-term objectives
- Improve overall customer satisfaction with the goal to improve customer retention by bringing focus to this area with local dealer management.
- Protect company assets
- Support internal departments to ensure dealer compliance to rules and regulations
- Support and attend retail customer events such as trade shows, open house, and other marketing events
Requirements:
- Degree in Business or Marketing, or combination of education and related experience
- 5+ years of experience in working with a dealer distribution
- Background in agriculture/construction and turf equipment industries
- Experience in developing marketing and sales plans within a dealer network
- Experience and understanding of trade shows and customer experience
- Experience as a coach, mentor, negotiator, and business advisor and or trainer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Structured report writing skills
- Excellent computer skills (Power Point, Excel, Word) and on-line fluency
- Time management skills to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work with minimal supervision and make decisions based on sound logic
- Negotiation skills
- Problem solving aptitude
- Home based office and ability to work independently
