Technical Service Specialist

Kubota Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a full time Technical Service Specialist to join its team in Pickering, Ontario. In this role the candidate will be responsible for providing dealer service staff and KCL staff with technical information and support with products.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and advice to dealer technicians, field staff and internal staff by way of phone, email, Dealer Link, and training seminars
  • Maintain Kubota’s Dealer Link web system and internal database with the most recent and accurate information from Kubota factories and local vendors
  • Issue Service Bulletins, Field campaigns, Technical tips, and Technical Service Reports
  • Manage warranty claim processing and adjudication from dealer submission to resolution
  • Identify potential product concerns, maintain the Technical Problem Log sheet, and issue Flash reports
  • Recall and examine equipment/parts, and recommend product improvement ideas to the team as well as to the factories/vendors
  • Organize and conduct school preparation meetings with internal staff
  • Take an active role in the organization and delivery of technical service training

Requirements:

  • College Diploma or Certified technician, preferred experience working with farm,
    construction and/or turf equipment
  • Extensive knowledge and hands on experience of hydraulic and electrical systems, gas
    and diesel engines, and transmission systems for tractors and construction equipment
  • Bilingualism – fluency in English and French
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
  • Computer skills including MS office applications
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, and team player
  • Some travel required
  • Time management skills and customer handling skills
